In my "2012" speeches, I talk about the importance of being self-sufficient in 3 things: water, food and energy. Can't get much closer to this ideal than in this illustration. Just add solar panels and a wind turbine or two.
And I cannot think of a better place for us to form a compassionate vegan community or even commune in beautiful British Columbia, Canada, which could serve as a brave new seed for a post-2012 world.

Shared...I have thought for some time that ethical vegans should begin to congregate in areas (villages, towns, counties, etc.) in sufficient numbers to democratically transform that area to a vegan lifestyle (prohibiting any exploitation of animals).
