Time to fight for a NO-KILL NATION!

630 wild horses in NW Nevada are slated by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to be rounded up by helicopter. Only a few will be adopted, the rest will end up in the slaughterhouse and glue factory.

The BLM cites water shortage, but it targets only the wild horse, not the cattle ranchers to which the BLM awards 4-6 times more land. Why? The horses cannot bribe politicians the way the cattle ranchers can, that's why.

If you believe that corruption does not exist in America, much less runs rampant, check out the voting records of the congressmen from the wild horse states - Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming and several others surrounding them - and see how many voted in favor of the wild horse over ranchers. The cattle ranchers help put them in power, and they do the ranchers' bidding - by abusing that power.

Another why: Most Americans, and Canadians for that matter, love a big thick steak more than they do sleek wild horses. Not to mention animal rights, what about the rights of vegetarians and vegans?

Even if the horse population has to be controlled, it can be done non-violently, humanely and peacefully by the proven means of contraception. The traditional way of course is to kill. Thus, the nation defines its own character as a killer nation.

Here is a newspaper article from Reno, Nevada, showing that the game is not yet over, and it ain't over till it's over. Reno citizens please go and speak out. http://www.rgj.com/viewart/20120427/NEWS07/304270045/BLM-extends-comment-time-wild-horse-round-up

For the rest of us, there is a petition to sign, and by all means do:
